Yamada Joins IGZIST Main Team And Announces Promotion From Academy Team

IGZIST, a Japanese e-sports team, shared on April 20th that Yamada has joined their VALORANT division. He’s moving up from the academy team to the main one.

Yamada, currently 17, started with IGZIST’s VALORANT academy team in September 2023. Next year, filling in for xui who left, he played in VCJ 2024 Split 1’s main stage against VARREL, Sengoku Gaming, and SCARZ. Despite losing all three matches, he gained valuable experience in his debut.

Before joining the main team, Yamada primarily played duelists like Jet, Rays, and Reina in high school tournaments, although he flexed roles like Sky, Viper, and Sova in IGZST. His athleticism was key to leading the team.

Here’s IGZIST’s updated roster with Yamada. They’re gearing up for VCJ 2024 Split 2’s advanced stage, starting next month. Despite a tough run in Split 1 with 1 win and 6 losses, will they make a comeback to the main stage? All eyes are on their upcoming matches.
