VCJ 2024 Split 1 is an official tournament sponsored by Riot Games taking place from January to March 2024. It has three stages: open qualifying, main stage, and playoffs.
The team that wins the playoffs becomes the national champion, receives prize money, and gets seeding rights for Split 2.
The eight teams that won the open qualifying round are currently competing in the main stage. They’re playing in a round-robin format to figure out who advances to the playoffs.

OPEN QUALIFIER
Event Dates: January 22nd-24th, 2024 Eight tournaments with up to eight teams each will be held in a double-elimination format.
A maximum of 64 teams can participate. Each match will be BO3. The top team from each tournament, a total of 8 teams, will advance to the Main Stage.

Event Dates: February 3rd – March 10th, 2024 Held in a round-robin format between the eight teams from the Open Qualifier. Each match will be BO3. The top six teams will advance to the Playoffs.

This unique tournament format involves the top 6 teams from the Main Stage, seeded based on their advancement ranking.
Round 1
- (Match 1) 3rd place team vs. 6th place team
- (Match 2) 4th place team vs. 5th place team
- The winning team advances to Round 2, and the losing team is eliminated from the Playoffs.
Round 2
- (Match 3) 1st place team vs. 2nd place team
- The winning team advances to the Final, and the losing team goes to Round 3.
- (Match 4) Playoff Round 1 Match between winning teams
- The winning team advances to Round 3, and the losing team is out of the Playoffs.
Round 3
- (Match 5) A match between two teams that advanced from Round 2
- The winning team advances to the Finals, and the losing team is eliminated from the Playoffs.
Final
- (Match 6) Match 3 winning team vs. Match 5 winning team
- The winning team becomes the champion of Split 1.
About Advance Stage
After Split 1, The advance stage, A promotion/relegation stage, will happen between teams in valorant challengers japan and premier teams.
Lower teams from split 1 main stage and winning premier teams compete for the right to participate in valorant challengers japan split 2. Teams wanting to join challengers for split 2 must earn the right by competing in premier.
Prize Money
Prize money will be awarded based on the final ranking for each split. The total annual prize money is 10 million yen.
