Riot games just dropped Valorant Patch 8.02 on february 6th. In this update, They’re adding VCT 2024 to the esports hub and doing some small fixes and makeovers to the game’s visuals. Here’s a snippet from the patch notes:

Agent changes:
Viper:
- Made Poison Cloud (Q) grenades look cooler. Other stuff:
- Improved visual effects for weakening effects to make them easier to see.
Icon Update:
- Made “Snakebite Shorty” look different.
ESPORTS HUB:
- The ESPORTS hub is all set for VCT 2024 with cool new features.
- Starting with VCT Kickoff, you can learn about VCT’s competition format and follow our partner teams in the four international leagues.
- Kickoff matches kick off on February 16th in VCT Americas, followed shortly by VCT Pacific, EMEA, and China.
- As the season goes on, the hub will also share info about international events like VCT Masters Madrid, so you can easily keep track of the competition with a clear tournament table.
- You can also find game dates on the schedule page, which you can search using tags and filters, or hop straight to the official broadcast page with a click from within the client.
Bug Fixes:
Game Stuff:
- Fixed a problem where the number of kills wouldn’t show up correctly in the kill feed when you killed multiple players with area of effect abilities.
- Fixed a bug where scope re-aim settings weren’t working right.
Player Actions:
- Fixed an issue with the links to the Terms of Service and FAQ about penalties and access bans not being the same for every region.
