The VCT AMERICAS 2024 KICK-OFF is starting in Los Angeles on February 16th. Zellsis from Sentinels and valyn from G2 Esports discussed Valorant North America Strongest Team at a recent press conference for Masters Madrid.
In the five-month offseason, many teams in the International League made changes, but NRG’s moves grabbed attention. They got Demon1 and Ethan from last season’s champion, Evil Geniuses. Zellsis, a Sentinels member, considers NRG the team to watch in the future.
“On paper, NRG looks like the strongest team. They face challenges, but with five hard-working people, they’ll overcome anything quickly. I guess.”
“But, being in the spotlight brings pressure. They have to work hard to get results. If they succeed, it could be a massive win or a huge failure. So, I’m really looking forward to them and keeping an eye on them.”
valyn, a G2 Esports member who won last year’s Ascension Tournament, agrees that NRG is the strongest team in North America right now.
“NRG is the team that got the most attention for off-season changes. With last year’s champions Ethan and Demon1, they’re a strong team. The new support staff makes us an even more solid team. I’m excited to play against them. They’re the strongest team in North America.”
VCT AMERICAS 2024 KICK-OFF starts on the 16th of this month with 11 teams, including 10 partner teams and G2 Esports, who won the Ascension. Sentinels faces Brazil’s LOUD, and G2 Esports faces South America’s KRÜ Esports in their first matches.
