Leviatán Announces Termination Of Contract With Head Coach Goked

Leviatán, an esports team based in Argentina, announced on June 6 that it has terminated its contract with Goked, head coach of the valorant division. The contract was terminated by mutual agreement, and a new head coach will be announced within the next few days.

Goked, now 31 years old, entered the valorant competitive scene in 2020. After starting his career as a player with Spain’s Team Queso, he announced his transition to coaching in June of the following year.

He has experience with top Spanish teams such as Case Esports and KOI. With Case Esports, he won VRL 2022 Spain Stage 2 and placed third in the VRL 2022 Finals.

In October 2023, he announced that he would move from Europe to the United States and join Leviatán. He started well, winning the Superdome 2023 Colombia, and although he dropped to 7th-9th place in the VCT AMERICAS 2024 KICK-OFF, he placed 3rd in Stage 1 and won a spot in the VCT 2024 Masters Shanghai 2024.

Regarding his departure, he commented on his own blog, “I understand that this is unfortunate timing, but I am confident that we have all the pieces necessary to be successful in Stage 2.

I have nothing but gratitude for the team. As for my future, I am not currently seeking the head coaching position as I need to deal with personal issues. However, I would be more than welcome to take on a supporting role such as strategy coach or scouting”

With Goked gone, Leviatán’s roster is as follows: The team is scheduled to participate in VCT AMERICAS 2024 Stage 2, which begins on the 22nd of this month.

  • Francisco “kiNgg” Aravena
  • Roberto “Mazino” Bugueño
  • Erick “aspas” Santos
  • Ian “tex” Botsch
  • Corbin “C0M” Lee
  • Dimitar “Itopata” Staev (Assistant Coach)
